Foreign Policy, Defence, & Trade
The UK must maintain strong national defence and trade as well as use its influential position in the world responsibly. Our policies to do this are:
-
Ending all arms exports.
-
Adopt a voluntary Swiss-style citizen military model to ensure we can defend ourselves from attack.
-
Close British military bases in foreign countries to focus on our own defence.
-
Pursue an independent military supply chain.
-
Eliminating imported products made from supply chains involving slave labour.
-
Rejoin EU single market and pursue full EU membership only if compatible with domestic transformation programme.
-
Direct existing foreign aid towards institution building, funding pro-worker movements, and industrialising the Global South to end resource extraction.
-
Support UN Security Council reform to end veto power of permanent members.
-
One-state solution for Palestine with equal rights for all citizens and return of land to Palestinians.
